Quick way to do this:
Hit your Windows(Start) button on the keyboard and the R button together to bring up the "Run Box". Then type appwiz.cpl in that box and hit Enter. At this point you'll be in the area of the OS to do uninstalls and look to the left for Add/Remove Windows Components (click on that). Looking through that list, find what you want to remove (Fax, Telnet, whatever) and see to it that the checkbox next to that item is not checked.Please note that you may need to expand groups (hit the + on the left) to find your specific item. Once the box is unchecked, hit the OK button and restart your PC. Let me know if you got it!
